sleeping on it

I’m currently struggling to make my bedroom into a place where I want to spend time when I’m not actually asleep.

I want to use vintage fabrics and I usually don’t have trouble combining them.

But somehow (even when it’s tidy, which frankly isn’t that often) the whole thing just isn’t coming together.

The whole project is suffering from a combination of a lack of energy, a lack of skill and a lack of will.

So, rather than rolling up my sleeves, getting out the paintbrushes and doing something about it, I found lots of nice pictures on the internet! :)

Yay for procrastination!

  1. Hi, why did I not know your lovely blog was here? I’ve just made myself a cuppa, and I’m going to have a ‘good old mosey around’! It looks beautiful, then I just need to work out how to ‘follow’ you, I’m not everso tech savvy! Have a great day! Ada :)

    • Thank you for your lovely comment! I hope you enjoy the rest of my ramblings!
To follow me, if you have a WordPress account, just log in and click “follow” at the top of the window. If not, click on the “follow me” button at the top of the sidebar. If you have any problems, let me know!

      • I love EVERY image on your blog! It’s beautiful! Very inspirational! Thank you for finding me, I would of found you eventually! We obviously love the same things, although I remember the 70s first time around, which I suspect you don’t! I’ve worked out how to follow you so I can keep up to date with your posts. When I go through Sherwood I keep thinking I must stop off and look at all the charity shops, that little shop you mentioned has made up my mind! I will have a little trip out I think! Ada :)

  2. I don’t know how I managed to miss this post – I’m so relieved to know I’m not the only one who spends time gazing at pretty interiors online while living in a home with some less than inspiring rooms! My bed is covered with a lovely old granny square blanket and lots of pillows with gorgeous vintage pillowcases, but the room is let down by the piles of STUFF everywhere – I desperately need to declutter! I love the second picture, that bedspread is wonderful.
