I have only small bits of these fabrics, but I love the way they look together.
“Patchwork!” I thought the other day.
I pfaffed around with them for a bit, but couldn’t quite find the right arrangement or pattern.
So I left them in a pile and got on with the other things of life – cooking, cleaning, tidying up.
They have been sitting there on the table. Winking at me. Calling to me every time I come into the room…
Then, yesterday, I got a little package in the post.
The lovely Rachel, from My Rainbow Vintage Home, sent me a parcel of gorgeousness as a thank you for a small fabric favour a while back.

I remembered my pile on the table.
The colours are perfect! And those bold snippets from Rachel really lift the whole thing.
Rachel always has exquisite taste in fabrics, so the parcel was bound to be lovely. Big love and thanks are due.
But I can’t work it out – how did she know?!

I love it when that perfect fabric appears and makes something complete!
Yes! There’s a couple of little squares from you in that pile – thank you again for those!
Hooray for fabric swapping!
Love these! Ada
When it comes to fabric, I’m a little bit psychic…well, you’ve pinned 2 of those patterns, and I know you love those colours – so do I! The purple 60s one is a really rare early Conran fabric, the one with the big purple flower is Swedish and we were both getting over-excited about the little bit when it turned up on Pinterest is another colourway – I’m sorry I couldn’t spare you more but I haven’t got much of it. I’m so glad you like them, looking forward to seeing you work your patchwork magic! xx
They are lovely lovely lovely! Must get on with some sewing tomorrow – have been busy entertaining, shopping and spending family time this weekend. My sewing machine beckons!
The timing – and the gift – couldn’t have been better! =D
