I did something yesterday that I have never done before.
I met some of the people whom previously I have only communicated with over the interweb.
My partner jokingly refers to them as my imaginary friends.
I had arranged to meet the lovely Ada from Vintage Sheet Addict at the Pretty Dandy Flea.
We wore brooches to identify one another!
We ooohed and ahhhed at all the lovely vintage and handmade things on offer at the Flea.
Such beautiful, talented makers and such imaginative work!
Ada and I snaffled the best bit of bargain vintage fabric in the room. At Ada’s instigation scissors were found and said fabric was cut in half so we each got a share.
And then we sat down and nattered.
We found we had loads in common.
As well as Ada I met Jenna from Ding Ding, whose barkcloth cushions were difficult to resist.
I said hello to the amazing organiser of the event, Becky of Pretty Dandy.
I even stroked one of Eloise Renouf‘s lovely framed prints (whilst mentally adding it to my Christmas wish list).
But quite apart from all the lovely things, it was fab finding out that the people who make and sell them are lovely too.
So here’s to imaginary friends and the world of the imagination.
I think Willy Wonka puts it better than I can.

So funny – I almost bought that piece of blue floral cloth for you! I saw it as soon as we walked in and immediately thought of you…glad you found it..! x
How lovely, I wish I was closer and could have come with you two, I bet you had a great time! Great fabric, and oh yes, Eloise Renouf’s prints are always on my wishlist! x
Sounds like a fantastic flea market. Wish I could go but glad to visit via your photos.
I think imaginary friends are fab! Ada
