blogtoberfest giveaway!

You may have noticed this cute picture currently residing at the bottom of my sidebar.

BlogtoberFest is an annual blogging festival, the point of which is to:

* challenge yourself to blog every day for 31 days
* discover kindred blogging spirits
* carve out a tiny slice of time each day to write and to read
* share any creative projects you have on the go
* host a giveaway, if you feel inclined to spread the love

So I thought, let’s give it a whirl!

This is the first time I have hosted a giveaway on my blog. I was a bit unsure exactly what to give away…

Then I looked at all the fabric spilling out from my cupboard…!

So…one lucky person will receive six good-sized bits of vintage fabrics (barkcloths and cottons) pictured above.

Perfect for patchwork, purses, or projects.

And that’s not all!

The giveaway also includes:

A vintage button brooch in a handmade drawstring bag!

And…

A fab vintage fabric napkin, from my collection!
Plus I’ll throw in a few other little surprise items… :)

To be in with a chance of receiving the goodies:

  • leave a comment in the “leave a reply” form below, or by clicking on the speech bubble next to this post’s title
  • follow this blog (if you don’t already) – see the sidebar for how
  • pop over and click “like” on my Facebook page

The closing date for entry is Friday 19th October.

Happy BlogtoberFest -

And good luck!

  1. Ooo oh! What an exciting prize! I would so love to win, I would use the fabric in the photos of my vintage china xxx good luck with your competition…who knew it was blogtoberfest?

    • Thanks Sarah! The napkin is a little bit small for a cushion on its own, but with some nifty patchwork round the sides it would make a lovely centre panel for one!

  2. What a fabulous giveaway! Vintage fabric is just so nice, bright and unusual….good luck with the every day blogging – cant wait to read what you will put each day :)

    • I do blog nearly every day anyway, so it’s not too big a commitment beyond the usual, but I’m really hoping that inspiration doesn’t desert me this month!

  3. Ok, I know I’ve already got lots of lovely fabric, BUT – that napkin! *swoon* – please enter me, even though it might not be technically fair if I won!! And well done for all the lovely blogging, I always love your posts. Rachel xx

  4. I so love your blog and I delight in seeing new posts …. what a brilliant giveaway … can I enter … I am a dedicated follower of modflowers but sadly don’t do the Facebook thing … I would like to ‘like’ you very much though :) … Bee xx

  5. Those fabrics are fabulous! I would be over the moon to win them. There is something about the blue/purple/green combination that makes my heart beat a little faster! I already follow your blog and always love your posts and photography :-)

  6. Ooooh, the ancient blanket stuffed seat pad on my old purple bentwood chair could have a matching partner if I won that gorgeous fabric stash! Love Modflowers, you make me feel all warm and cosy!

    • Lovely! Though I think it fair to warn you that each bit of fabric isn’t quite big enough on its own to make a whole cushion, so you’d need to sew them together. Which would make a very pretty patchwork!

  7. Aww I didn’t realise it was Blogtoberfest, maybe I could try Blognoverfest, doesn’t quite sound right, anyway lovin the textiles, today is Friday so its creative day, Best get to it, keep up the great work, I love your brooches in your Etsy shop x J
