As I’ve mentioned before, sometimes you don’t get what you bargained for when you bid on eBay.
I bought this fabric one evening, on a whim – after a glass of wine - always a mistake!
It was cheap, plentiful, and the auction was about to end.
But I didn’t check the fibre content. It turned out to be a poly-cotton mix (with the emphasis on the poly!) rather than cotton, as I had thought.
“Too sheer for cushions – drat!”, I thought. “What a waste of money!” I thought.
And I stashed it.
But that neon pink, kelly green and white combination is lovely.
So I kept getting it out again…
And guess what! It turns out thinner fabric works best for making stars!
And with the addition of iron-on interfacing, a little cushion is also perfectly possible!
So all’s well that ends well.
This time around anyway!

Never be defeated, that’s what I say!
You’re so clever! Who was the hero who bought a cushion – or can’t you say?
You probably wouldn’t have heard of them Lynda, but its someone whose designs I’ve admired for some time.
