playing catch-up

At last! I have been able to get on with making some new button bracelets.

I ordered buttons ages ago. When they arrived, I spent a frustrating morning.

They took so much pressure to put together that I had to actually tread on them to get them to work. And then, some of them just fell apart.

At first I blamed myself.

“I’m all fingers and thumbs!” I thought. “Maybe the fabric’s too thick?” I pondered. “I must be doing something wrong…” I fretted.

I hate complaining. But the nagging suspicion that I didn’t have this trouble last time prompted a polite email to the supplier.

Happily, they said that it sounded like I had a dodgy batch. I should return them and they would send me replacements.

But it has taken several weeks. So I am behind schedule.

So think of me over the weekend.

I’m going to be manically button-making to catch up.

I’ll emerge next week, wild-eyed, dishevelled, sore fingered, a bit crazy from glue fumes, but hopefully all caught up with myself.
