brightening up

sofaThis was my sofa yesterday.

The sun had finally shown its face and good light waits for no one…

Time for a long overdue photography session!

I also needed a bit of a sort-out, having just reclaimed some bits of stock from Lu-Lou’s. It was nice seeing old friends again!

You’ll be able to see the results popping up over the next few days in my shop, which I also gave a bit of a spruce-up with a fresh new banner.

I managed to fit in a long phone call to my sister too, in which we encouraged one another wholeheartedly in our respective endeavours. There was so much positivity zapping about that the snow outside actually started to thaw!

Or maybe the weather just warmed up.

I think I’m warming up a bit too.

With a bit of positive thinking, the prospect of a new sewing class on Monday and some new stalls in the pipeline, I think I’m finally shaking off the post-Australia blues.

small but perfectly formed

Now that my stall has its sign, its time to make sure that I actually have something to sell.

I picked up a stash of assorted cushion pads from a local charity shop recently, some of which are a tad smaller than the usual standard square ones.

Perfect for fabrics that I have only little bits of.

The cushion above is a one-off, as that’s all I have of this marvellous material.

The one below is a rare bit of dekoplus. There’s just enough for maybe one more cushion, plus a few bits left for patchwork.

I’m really rather fond of these two little beauties.

It will be hard to give them up.

But give them up I must.

If you want to catch one, you will find them in my Etsy shop.
