Blueberry is the latest addition to the tweetie pie flock.
She is perhaps my favourite yet (although I do reserve a soft spot for little Flora, bless her).
It’s just the way that this particular piece of that gorgeous 1960s fabric is perfectly placed to make Blueberry’s pretty plumage.
I never quite know until I’m done, but sometimes a plan does just come together.
Blueberry is available to purchase for £12 plus postage from my Etsy shop.
Little Flora here had a difficult birth. Her beak went all funny and had to be redone.
So I thought she deserved a quick post of her own, to make up for all the bad names I called her whilst she was under construction.
Sorry, Flora. I hope all is forgiven now.
I love it when a fabric order arrives.
If it takes a while, I have sometimes forgotten exactly what is going to be inside.
Its like getting a Christmas stocking.
Some new additions to my fabric stash arrived this week.
When I made the order, I was thinking bunting.
However, the washout that is this English summer has, apparently, dealt a bit of a blow to bunting sales.
Or perhaps everyone is just bunted-out after the Jubilee.
So instead, there is a little bluebird Tweetie Pie cushion already under construction using the blue fabric below.
I figured that a bluebird of happiness is just what I need right now.
And crucially, it is not weather-dependent.
